The Concept of the SIG45 The SIG45 combines speed, innovation and grace, taking advantage of the performance, space and stability advantages of a modern multihull, but retaining the aesthetic elegance of a modern monohull. The VPLP designed hulls and foils incorporate the very best of the latest generation of ocean racing multihulls, and will allow speeds well in excess of 20 knots. The efficient rig and deck layout are heavily influenced by technical advisor Bruno Peyron. Crew in the pilot houses will be warm and dry, but will still feel part of the action. The impact of the construction and operation of the SIG45 on the environment has been taken seriously. The yacht has the option of a clean and quiet diesel electric propulsion system, comprising a combination a silent running diesel generator and twin high torque electric motors. |
